Freakshow/Side Show Acts wanted for Brisbane Corporate Xmas Party

This sounds like fun!

Hi, We’re looking for a variety of Sideshow/Freak-show acts for our Corporate Xmas party, 11th December 2009. The theme is Carnivale!
We’d love to find some really crazy acts - sword swallowing, dangerous juggling, crazy contortion, acrobatic lifts. This is not a children’s circus!!!! The more extravagant and freaky, the better!

We’re a large advertising agency and our Xmas parties usually have up to 160 staff and clients. We’ve made a habit of having Xmas parties that really kick ass, with celebrity guests and performers in past years.

The them is Carnivale…. but it’s not just your average friendly Circus! Our theme is more of a dark and twisted carnivale - with freakshow acts that shock and awe.

The Xmas party would go from 7pm-1am (and onwards), so we’d be looking for performers who can mingle around for up to 3 hours (7-10pm). And then every so often, the MC would announce one of the performers, and everyone would gather around, and they would perform their act (no more than say, 10 minutes). Then back to mingling with guests, taking photos etc.

Our office is located in South Brisbane/South Bank. We have a pretty big space (its a big, warehouse type office) however we probably don’t have the ability to erect poles or ropes to allow any aerial acrobatics (which is a real shame!!!)

This is a paying gig, plus you’ll be looked after for the night with drinks and food. It will be held on Friday 11th December.
