Hot Topic: Black and Red Tie Shirt Romper

Penny (my circus director), myself, and her housemates went out to a roller derby/disco night partly to do research for our upcoming street performance act (and also because it was a fun night out for her birthday). We spotted the DJ in this outfit and Penny thought it’d make a great costume for my character, The Merch Girl (surprise surprise).

I went to ask the DJ (Dead Meat, who told me she was bad at skating and then proceeded to pwn everyone in the bout) where her outfit’s from, and she told me that it was a Hot Topic set. This one, in fact.

It’s a cute idea - I did see someone else with a shirt-dress and that always struck me as being a great costumey uniform. This exact one’s already been claimed, and my other inspiration - the Ansett Airlines uniform - can only be found at random thrift shops now, but it makes a great base outfit!
